Abiding With The Guru

Weeks 1 - 3 | Training In Tranquil Abiding
Kadam Morten will be coming back to the IKRC Grand Canyon to lead the first three weeks of Mountain Retreat and will guide three weeks of meditations on Tranquil Abiding with one week on clarity and two weeks on emptiness.


Weeks 4 - 6
Special Close Retreat
Collecting 100,000 Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka mantras.
Starting on January 26th Gen-la Jampa will guide this special close retreat following the oral instructions shared at the International NKT Spring Festival 2022 in Málaga.
Together in the Kadampa Temple, we will draw closer and closer to our Root Guru, and create very powerful actions that will cause Kadam Dharma to flourish in our hearts and throughout the world.
There is no better offering to repay our Guru’s kindness.
The close retreat will include the collection of 100,000 Guru Sumati Buddha Heruka mantras and end with 10,000 mantras of Vajradaka. After completing 100,000 mantras each person can engage in the Vajradaka burning offering, which will take place outside.
The retreat will begin on January 26th in the evening with an introduction at 7.30 pm and then there will be 4 sessions each day.

Gen-la Kelsang Jampa
Gen-la Jampa is an internationally renowned, ordained Buddhist teacher and the Deputy Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU).

As a senior NKT teacher, Gen-la Jampa has been a student of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years, and under Geshe-la's guidance has taught at many centers and events around the world.

Gen-la is well-loved for his clear and inspiring teachings and his ability to touch people’s hearts through his sincerity and loving-kindness.

Kadam Morten Clausen
Kadam Morten Clausen is the Eastern US National Spiritual Director of the New Kadampa Tradition and Resident Teacher at the Kadampa Meditation Center New York City. For over 30 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title “Kadam,” indicating that he is a senior lay teacher
