Learn To Meditate

Join Buddhist monk Kelsang Tharden for a morning workshop and learn the basics of meditation and how to make meditation part of your daily life.
Tharden will give advice and instructions on:
• What is meditation and how anyone can meditate!
• How to settle the mind effectively before beginning your meditation session.
• The mechanics of basic meditation (breathing techniques; basic visualizations).
• Why meditation helps calm the mind to reduce mental distractions, as well as
various tips for having a successful meditation practice.

Tharden is a Kadampa Buddhist monk and has been a student and disciple of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso for many years. His teachings bring clear and meaningful insights into Buddha's teachings, that help his students apply wisdom and compassion to daily life.
